How do I pledge to get 2 sets of spoons?

Great question. If you want two sets of spoons, select the $60+ Reward Level (THE SET), but adjust your Pledge Amount to $120. When the campaign ends, we’ll send out a backer survey to make sure this is what you pledged the extra funds for.

This applies to any “add-on” items. For example, if you want 2 of the Standard Classic ($25), select the $25+ reward level (STANDARD CLASSIC), but pledge $50 toward the project.

If you want the Set of spoons ($60) and a second Standard Spoon ($35), select the $60+ Reward Level (THE SET), and pledge $95 toward the project.

Can you offer a larger set of spoons - something to outfit a bar?

First off, we’d love to outfit your bar!

Kickstarter has new campaign rules for product design projects; we’re not allowed to offer multiple quantities of a single reward as a separate reward level.

If you want to order multiple spoons (e.g. 10 Standard Classic Spoons to outfit a bar), select the reward category that you want multiples of, and increase your pledge amount to cover the cost of the number of spoons you want (e.g. $250 for 10 Classic Spoons).

I wanted to add a spoon/t-shirt during the Kickstarter campaign but missed the pledging window. Can I do that now? Absolutely. After you answer the survey questions, you’ll have an opportunity in Step 2 to select “Add-Ons” to your pledge.

Only one of my pledge rewards went through. How can I get more than one reward? Kickstarter only allows backers to select one reward level, so if you changed your pledge thinking you were adding something to your reward, you may have inadvertently changed your reward entirely. Not to fear! You can add on to your current reward level and check out through BackerKit.

I increased my pledge on Kickstarter by $15 to get the T-shirt (or by $25/$35/$60 for an additional Classic/Spin/Set). How do I make sure that’s what I’m getting? When you complete your survey through BackerKit, Step 2 is to pick your Add-On’s. If you increased your pledge via Kickstarter by $15, your cart should state “Credit Remaining: $15.00” when you get to the Add-Ons screen. Select the t-shirt (choose your size) and click “Add to Cart.” Please note: you only have to add additional items during Step 2. The original items you pledged for are already included based on the reward level you selected via Kickstarter.

Why am I being asked to put in my credit card if I already paid for my reward? If you have selected Add-Ons in Step 2, be aware that these are for extra items you’d like, in addition to what you’re getting with the reward level you selected through Kickstarter. Be careful not to fill your add-on cart with things you are already getting in your pledge, unless you want additional quantities.

If you are an international backer and did not include the additional shipping cost in your original pledge amount on Kickstarter, you may need to enter your payment information to pay for shipping.

I’m an International backer. Why are the Add-On items priced higher than they were on Kickstarter? BackerKit includes shipping for Add-On’s in the price of the item you are adding.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
